Lessons: Private LessonsI am now offering private and semi-private lessons due to the enormous number of requests from photographers! Photography can be fun, but sooner or later, you will want to make some money at it! Some people learn best from reading books or watching DVD’s. Some learn better at large seminars, some like a small group, but some people get the most out of one-on-one training. That is the way I learn the best. If that is the way you learn best, then I want to help you. I started out of my home; in fact, I still have a home-based business. I remember when I started my business out of my home. I needed everything. I just had the minimum of equipment. I lacked experience. I knew what I wanted but did not know how to get there. I had the passion and the desire. I had an eye, but I did not know the rules. People liked my photography, but I did not know how to market to get more business. My photographs were good, but I did not know how to sell enough to make a living. I learned a little at a time. Lighting from one person, posing from another, business, selling and marketing from others. It was a slow, frustrating process. I would have given anything to have someone I could sit down with, one-on-one. Someone who understood where I was. Someone who understood what I needed to know. Now you do have someone…ME! Private lessons are for people who want personal attention. Different from a convention or a week school, we only work on what you need to learn. You don't waste time going over what you already know. We work on specifics that you need. We personally rework your price lists, brochures, mailers, etc. We work on the type of photography that you want to work on. We will work together to take your business to the successful level you want to go. Here are just some of the subjects we can cover with you: Camera Basics, Creative Vision, Studio Lighting, Setting up a studio, Equipment Choices, Finding good light outdoors, Introduction to Digital, Photoshop Tools & Techniques, Editing Your Images, How to Sell, Getting more Clients with Better Marketing, Pricing, Wedding , Children, Family, Senior or Event Photography, just to name a few. More than a seminar. But this is so much more than a seminar! This is a relationship. Even before you come, we will help you focus your career. We will work with you to decide where you should concentrate your efforts. Then after our time together, we have follow up. Included in a Private Lesson are two follow up phone calls, to make sure you are on track. Want to bring a friend? Want to bring a friend? If you would rather come with friend, we can do semi-private lessons for $650 per day/per person. ($550 for ProPhotogs limited to the first 10) Or 3 can come for $495 per day/per person. ($425 for ProPhotogs limited to first 10) With semi-private lesson, each person receives one phone follow up. The day is designed for you, by you. Set your own goals for the day. Over the course of a full day, I will help you perfect techniques, make changes and assist you in becoming the photographer you’ve always wanted to be. A couple of weeks prior to the Private Lesson you will receive a questionnaire so I can get a better idea of where you are and where you want to go. You will receive a 100 page reference manual for you to use for the rest of your career and two follow up phone calls to make sure you stay on track! My studio is located in Caldwell, Texas and only two hours from Houston, ninety minutes from Austin and three and a half hours from Dallas. If you fly, you can even fly directly into College Station, and we will pick you up from the airport. There are plenty of places to stay in the area, some as little as $60 a night. Lessons also make a great birthday or Christmas gift.
